Master Gardeners, Summit County

Through the OSU Master Gardener Program, dozens of public programs are offerred in Summit County to help backyard gardeners become more successful, environmentally responsible gardeners.

Last year, 135 Master Gardener volunteers gave nearly 5,000 volunteer hours to OSU Extension. Gardening presentations and lectures, displays, public events, garden tours and demonstration gardens are some of the forums used by Master Gardeners to teach the public.

These volunteers raised over $20,000 and gave an in-kind donation to OSU Extension through volunteer time of $70,000!
