Over 2,200 Cuyahoga County families participated in a series of EFNEP (Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program) classes benefiting a total of over 8,500 household members. The participants learned how to make healthy food choices at low cost and to prepare and store foods in a safe manner. More than 93 percent made positive changes in their diets; 67 percent improved in one or more food resource management practices; 74 percent improved in one or more nutrition practice; and 47 percent improved in one or more food safety practice.
